From command line i use something like mount -t msdofs /dev/da0s1 /mnt. the mount on the x side puts the files in a directory in /media. is there anyway to view the statements that are used to mount a thumb drive on the graphics side?
Is X mounting the thumb drive itself? Or is your desktop environment starting some service that automounts removable media?
Besides why do you want to view what command is being used? It most likely isn't using a command but directly executing the mount(2) syscall.
If you want to control where the removable media is mounted I am sure there's some configuration file to modify.
