midnight commander not accessing lklfuse mounted partitions

I have a USB disk with a number of ext4 partitions which are automounted using lklfuse, but midnight commander (misc/mc) is unable access them. Files are visible from a command prompt, ie ls -al /media/da1p4 works normally.

Any ideas about what is wrong?

The same happens with misc/ytree. Does lklfuse need some additional configuration?

If I unmount and remount using ext2fs access to partitions is normal. Can I tell automounter to use ext2fs rather than lklfuse?
