Closed Microsoft seizes FreeBSD?

Greetings community,


Microsoft has recently announced the availability of its own version of FreeBSD for Azure. The company has motivated the decision to create your own version of FreeBSD in wanting to “free of charge” to the FreeBSD Foundation, but luckily the official branch of the project also will benefit from the development made by Microsoft.
 
There are already two threads that I've seen on this. You might want to search the forums for them. :) Maybe this can be merged into one of the others.
