Microsoft not delivering mail to my MX anymore!?

I'm aware of lots of ways in which Microsoft refuses to receive mail *FROM* one's own domain. I've got all those hammered down. However, for the past few months I've been struggling to get mail from Microsoft to deliver *into* my system. I've been running essentially the same Postfix environment for many years and it works perfectly fine when mail comes in from every other provider I can imagine. Microsoft, however, refuses to deliver mail to me. That is: until I put my MX on a different IP, like my residential IP for my home internet connection. No issues whatsoever there. The pattern is always the same: Microsoft connects from some outlook.com hostname, establishes TLS, and then disconnects without doing anything. As soon as I flip my MX to a cloned instance of my existing MX behind a different IP, mail delivery does happen just fine.

Any ideas?

It's Microsoft, they are too dumb/elitist to provide working mail service (which fits their MUA).

For several weeks now a lot of (most?) mail providers have active warnings/notices that mail delivery from and to microsoft-operated maildomains are currently unreliable or completely defunct.
Since it is a self-inflicted (or intetional) 'problem' at Microsoft, there's nothing one can do about it - except telling every lost soul still using their (mail) services to change to a proper provider that actually follows standards and cares about their users. If Microsoft wants to isolate itself, they are very welcome from my side - I have stopped dealing with their BS long ago by funneling everything to their mail systems via smtp2go. Couldn't care less if they now refuse to deliver to my mail servers; it only means I have to deal with a lot less spam...

sincerely,
a sysadmin gone mail-operator who had to deal way too many times with their crap

PS: the mailop mailing list[1] is a good reference for a lot of rants reports about microsoft-related mail problems (of which 100% are caused by microsoft)
