Links to screenshots or something would be helpful. It seems (from casual glances around the web) to be like dwl but allowing fcitx to work which would be a plus for me and few others on the forums. I'll have to try it when I have some time.
 
No manpage, no real help. Just a /usr/local/etc/mango conf file. Sparse documentation on the Arch Wiki. I'll have to save this for when I have time to try things and see if they work. For example, does dwlbar work with it? It might, and might be as simple as starting it with an -s option, but all these little things are things I'll have to try.

I also have to echo what vyryls says. There are many Wayland compositors that work well, the two I've tried labwc and dwl are fine.

I'm not saying mangowc (as it shows in /usr/ports/x11-wm is bad, but it seems to be that the lack of documentation could be problematic. Conversely, if, after playing with it, I get it to my liking, the fact that it works with fcitx5 would be a big plus for me. While labwc is fine with fcitx5 as long as one puts the needed variables in $HOME/.config/labwc/environment I've not gotten dwl working well with fcitx5

Well, I tried it, and it is a decent tiling window manager, and does, unlike dwl, work with fcitx5. I found some of my desired key combos didn't work, but could easily make do with using it. (As for key combos, I'm sure it's something I misread or entered wrong, but I'm not sure, and was still quite usable. I'll have to add mention of it to page on Japanese in Linux/BSD page. So freebsdiz4me, once again, thanks, it gives me a tiling window manager that I can use with Japanese in Wayland.
 
I figured out my issue with keybindings, I was using something already used. I actually find that it reminds me of spectrwm more than dwm. So, I probably don't have much use for it, (though I can start it with the dwl bar, and get my date on top) just because I like dwm and dwl better--that's just personal taste. HOWEVER, as I do usually use tiled window managers, and do at times, have need to use Japanese, it's a handy thing to have. Unfortunately, they have discord rather than irc, but that's probably my age talking..
 
I see there is also
niri, which seems similar.
Having already gone through my window manager hopping phase long ago, I doubt I'll investigate it, but I'd be curious if anyone knows if it does as well supporting fcitx as mango.
 
Having some fun trying to configure mango to work like dwm and dwl. The tricky part (for me) is figuring out which command does what. This site https://www.tonybtw.com/tutorial/mangowc/ has the keybindings I want for switching windows but he doesn't give the syntax of config.conf, for example, his table shows Focus Next, when the syntax in the file is focusdir,up (or down or left or right). Not really complaining, though it'd be nice to have the correct syntax--especially because in some cases it seems to matter whether you use SUPER or Super, and maybe even super, but these are all petty complaints a sort of, "Waaah, it doesn't work the way *I'm* used to a tiling manager working". I suspect I'll get over it. :) If it were my worst problem in life, I'd be a pretty lucky person, don't you think?
 
I just found out about this WM. It behaves very intuitively for me and it seems to be one of the few which are able to run BricsCAD with no issues. So I guess I'm going to use it.
It seems to be supporting the new and shiny scrolling type of virtual desktop, which also seems useful.

My desktop setup is a mess these days anyway, all the WM/DE hopping left it's mark. Its about time I cleaned up ~/.config and do something reasonable and stable.
 
Just in case someone tries searching for tiled wayland manager, fcitx, I'll add that sway window manager also works flawlessly with fcitx. Seems like dwl is the only one I've tried that doesn't. Sway is almost a Wayland clone of iw3.

I have been using mango for about a month or so. Its running well. sleep n resume work. however, I m unable to use my mouse or track pad middle button to paste. is there a shortcut for it?

on my laptop, niri crashes so often, esp after waking up from sleep. upon resume, if I click my mouse or track pad anywhere on the screen, often resulted in crashes. fed up with that, I turned to mango.
 
rshad muhammad on a desktop, an SER-5 I think, with AMD, I just tried. I opened up two alacritty terminals, wrote some text in one, highlighted it and clicked the middle button which pasted it to the second terminal. This has an AMD GPU.. It looks like your using a laptop from your other post, so not sure if any of this is relevant, but anyway, pasting text from terminal to terminal worked fine for me.
