Looking for solution where my Soundcards are there but dont work virtual_oss sndiod

chatgpt has been helpful in getting the commands to run but no virtual devices run i see it thinks the syntax means one
thing but the wiki page of virtual_oss says otherwise -S is not server_mode... what ive done was compiled a no-debug-no-oss kernel
and installed ossv4 server from ports and as well virtual_oss and would like to know since falkon the browser im using ive tried jack
it all requires an underlying soundcard thats working in order to virtualize is my assumption but i also assume you can just create virtual devices i just dont know how to do this, so what i thought of as a solution is streaming the audio to a usb using a http mp3 chunk peripheral im also using an iPhone/Android Device as my USB-Tether , but i can get my Wi-FI working with Wifibox .. Else aside audio is the only issue CS8409 Apple-Device-Properties
 
btw im on freebsd 15 and yeah like chatgpt is telling me here : theres no /dev/dsp and its instructions are rather switching back and forth like its telling you to configure soundiod twice

So, you have compiled a kernel without OSS(v4), and debug support, I assume.
FreeBSD uses OSS as its primary sound system.
Did you try to compile the kernel with OSS support ?
Eventually if OSS support is present, you should also have /dev/dsp there.
For virtual_OSS you need OSS first.
Jack depends on either ALSA or OSS, it does not work as a standalone.
 
yeah i havent found anything , so if anyone knows even? theres the OSSv4 Port thats the SERVER ok , is you cant have that and the Kernel at the same time... I know the ins and outs of why that wouldnt work unless i can use the HDMI Muxing Sink as the Source for Virtual Audio then my question would be is Virtual_OSS Compatible with the kernel implenented OSS System ....
