Solved LightSail can't boot from a snapshot

Hello

lightSail from amazonAWS allows you to make snapshots as a backup. In theory you can create a new instance from the snapshot. So in case of disaster you can recover the machine. It doesn't work. Tested with a completely new instance. It is not possible to connect via SSH or ping, it seems that it is not able to get an IP. It doesn't work through the internal network either.

Tested on amazon Virginia and amazon Paris.

How could it be fixed?

Best regards

I have found a way:

It is not enough to recover the copy, nor is it enough to reboot the machine: It is necessary to shut it down and restart it. I have made several tests with different machines that I have been working on lightSail for years and it seems to work!

Thanks and best regards

I've run into the same problem, but I can't even access the web console. So the only way to shut it down and restart it is via the web interface. I did so several times but still have no access. Am I missing something?
