KDE has locked up solid on me twice now

Tax time in the US, my freebsd experiment went on hold. I haven't had another lockup since though. I'm not sure if this is the same installation, or if I wiped and reinstalled and this is a fresh install. I do that a lot during this learning process. But as of right NOW everything seems ok. If the problem comes back, I'll also come back but for now, the gremlins are sleeping.

Also I too work in I.T. for over 20 years, but strictly Macs. And i *ALSO* had a customer an hour away need me to drive out in the middle of the night, only to find the power coord has slipped out of his iMac because he tilted the screen too much :) But honestly, driving through/across the city at midnight made it a MUCH more pleasant drive than it normally is, and I had a sports car back then too :D

Is this the old Akonadi buffer size issue ? fixed by adding these two lines to /etc/sysctl.conf.

net.local.stream.recvspace=65536
net.local.stream.sendspace=65536

to prevent apps from freezeing up.
