Is there an update for drm-515-kmod around?

My graphics adapter (AMD Radeon RX 7600 aka navi 33)) is not supported yet by drm-515-kmod, so I would have to stick to scfb to get a X session or desktop, which results in a resolution far too low for my 4K-monitor.
Any news of an upcoming update or coming support of those adapters?

  1. The number in the port name indicates the Linux version the drivers are taken from, here Linux 5.15. So an update to this port is very unlikely to bring support for newer hardware.
  2. Code for drm-XX-kmod ports is pulled from https://github.com/freebsd/drm-kmod, this is where actual porting work (especially necessary work on the LinuxKPI compatibility layer) is done. You'll find a 6.1-lts branch there which is currently pretty active, so I would expect a "drm-61-kmod" port to appear sooner or later. But then, it might require LinuxKPI changes not available in any RELEASE version yet, we will see.

Thanks for clarification. I meant withe "update" not a specific version, but s.th. newer than the kernel-5.15-compatiblity.
Can the 6.1-branch already be used somehow?

Not yet in the ports tree <https://www.freshports.org/search.p...sc&search=Search&format=plaintext&branch=head>.

A couple of highlights from 10th December:

Reading things such as those alongside <https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/log/?qt=grep&q=LinuxKPI> and (more broadly) <https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/log/>, my wild guess is that there'll be a port within six weeks. I'll ask around.
