Solved Intermittent unresponsiveness

Just got back from my Summer holidays and did an update of my main desktop machine.

FreeBSD 14.2-RELEASE with quarterly ports.

Rebooting was very slow with USB taking a few minutes. Now mouse and keyboard input freezes every few minutes, and strangely I keep getting the volume control slider briefly appearing.

Is anyone else seeing this> Any fixes?

I noticed something similar with 6.4.x, random (TBH, rare) freezes (mouse moves, but nothing under it get selected) and volume control slider briefly appearing centered on the screen before Plasma desktop shows up. Although, I noticed this only on Linux with X11/KDE, never on FreeBSD.

I also have run into the same issue multiple times. Seems totally unrelated to system load or resource usage.

It also doesn't seem to result in any kind of dump file that I can tell

For context this is on 14.2-RELEASE and 14.3-RELEASE using 6.4.x as well.

Almost wondered if I should stick/switch to xfce or leftwm like I run on my other machines.
