Solved Installed from package or built from ports?

Hi!
Maybe this will be an easy one. How can I decide whether an application is installed with pkg(8) or if it was built from the ports tree?

There is no difference. Basically, a port builds a package and it's this package that eventually gets installed. So, in the end everything is a package.

No issue at all, an installed port is a package just like a package installed from a binary repository. The pkg(8) tools don't know the difference.
