Solved Install FreeBSD on Intel Compute Stick (Windows Version)

I tried FreeBSD-10.2-RELEASE-amd64-uefi-mini-memstick.img, but never success:
1. Using Ubuntu's grub2 kfreebsd to run /boot/loader, it stops after boot command
2. Using EFI shell to run /boot/loader.efi, it stops after print "start @0xffff..."
3. Extract ISO into fat32 usb stick, then use EFI shell to run /boot/loader.efi, it rarely boot kernel, but kernel panic...

Then I try FreeBSD-11.0-CURRENT-amd64-20150917-r287930-mini-memstick.img, it just works!

But something still missing:
1. No wifi/bluetooth: I have to use an USB LAN adapter...
2. No SD card
3. No internal hard disk: I just use an USB stick to install system...

Even though, I still love FreeBSD!

If you would be so kind, can you post a dmesg?

Hi I have one too.

Note:
da0 is a Sandisk Extreme USB drive with 11.0-CURRENT I booted with
rsu0 is a USB wifi adapter I plugged in to get network access
and there's a USB hub and Apple Keyboard which are not internal to the Intel Compute Stick that I had to use because there's only 1 USB port

But something still missing:
1. No wifi/bluetooth: I have to use an USB LAN adapter...
2. No SD card
3. No internal hard disk: I just use an USB stick to install system...

Even though, I still love FreeBSD!

I'm in the same boat.

I have just come across this thread and wondered what the steps involved in running FreeBSD on an Intel Compute stick?

Is it actually installed or is it a matter of creating an alternative OS for booting via some sort of boot manager mechanism? I would be quite happy to boot from either a USB hard disk or pen drive if that can be achieved.

The fact no one replied may suggest no one has done it before, and/or just might not know. I don't know what an Intel Compute Stick is, but I have had no issues in getting FreeBSD (version 10.3-RELEASE) installed on a regular old USB stick. Might pick up a larger stick someday, put a lightweight gui on it, and some networking tools like iPErf for example.
