I've been testing Asus Vivobook X1407CA with 15.1 for a couple of months. Here is dmesg. It's 16/512GB RAM/SSD.what should be its specifications?
* Graphics is blured after the first boot, but after a restart or lid down/up, it works:
vgapci0@pci0:0:2:0: class=0x030000 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor=0x8086 device=0x7dd1 subvendor=0x1043 subdevice=0x1fe3
vendor = 'Intel Corporation'
device = 'Arrow Lake-P [Intel Graphics]'
class = display
subclass = VGA
* XFCE is working. I tested only the basics that come out of the box:
kld_list="i915kms if_rtw89"lightdm_enable="YES"* Wifi is working:
rtw890@pci0:1:0:0: class=0x028000 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00 vendor=0x10ec device=0xb851 subvendor=0x105b subdevice=0xe100
vendor = 'Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.'
device = 'RTL8851BE PCIe 802.11ax Wireless Network Controller'
class = network
* Bluetooth is recognized, but it doesn't start out of the box:
ugen1.3: <Realtek Bluetooth Radio> at usbus1
ubt0 on uhub0
ubt0: <Realtek Bluetooth Radio, class 224/1, rev 1.00/0.00, addr 2> on usbus1
# /etc/rc.d/bluetooth start ubt0
/etc/rc.d/bluetooth: ERROR: Unable to setup Bluetooth stack for device ubt0
* The ACPI errors seem to be harmless and might be fixed by a firmware update. Settings in /boot/loader.conf:
debug.acpi.layer="0"debug.acpi.level="0"* Touchpad and sound work. Hot keys don't.
I use it as a second notebook, mostly without a desktop. It's 14" with a relatively new chipset, and it's affordable.
