I am using an old 2011 21.5" Apple iMac computer as a FreeBSD server.
It works well (though installing was difficult), but the LCD backlight is always on 100%, which wastes a a lot of power and makes the computer get really hot, especially as this machine will run 24/7.
How do I turn off the LCD backlight?
I cannot physically unplug the LCD or LCD backlight driver board because that makes the computer refuse to boot.
FreeBSD 14.3-RELEASE amd64
