Help needed for installing latest version of FreeBSD on DELL Optiplex 3050

I am using a DELL Optiplex 3050. When I flash a FreeBSD `.iso` file to a USB drive and turn on the computer and then press F12, the USB drive does not show up in the boot menu. All other devices (CD reader & hard drive) show up though.

Does anyone know how to make my USB drive show up? It shows up for other computers. I want to be able to select it so that I can boot off of my USB drive therefore allowing me to install FreeBSD...

I had some experience with other dell's optiplex desktop PCs.
Very often dell optiplex had different issues with USB-boot from some images or usb-drives.
Also, optiplex can't boot from vitrual USB-DVD like IODD or Zalman ZMVE-200.
Sometimes issues are gone after using another usb pen-drive, but some usb-boot issues are still unresolved.

The best way for dell - is to use hardware USB/SATA DVD with burned FreeBSD DVD-iso image.
Also you can try to move the HDD from DELL Optiplex to another PC for installation, and return HDD back with installed FreeBSD.

I had no other issues with running FreeBSD as a server on Optiplex.

Try using the memstick image (the one ending in .img), it could be your dell does not understand the hybrid ISO format.
