Solved gpart(8) not showing disks

Is it normal for gpart show to sometimes not show a device?

Today, for example, where gpart(8) in FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT did not show a new disk, I used sysutils/lsblk to list it, then sysutils/gdisk to create a partition table.

gpart show information about the partitions of the geom device. New empty disk can be identified via camcontrol devlist then you can create a partition scheme on the new disk via gpart create -s GPT {provider} for GPT or gpart create -s MBR {provider} for MBR

gpart just shows partition tables, not device.
