Good netflix series.

If you liked "Dark" (I did, a lot!), please check "1899". On Netflix also worth watching "The Lazarus Project" and "Altered Carbon". ATM I'm LMAOing while rewatching "Preacher".

On Amazon Prime: "Raised by Wolves", "Counterpart", "The Peripheral" and of course "The Expanse".

On AppleTV+: "Silo", "Beacon 23" and "Devs".

As for the "Three Body Problem" I liked Chinese version far more, much slower tempo, but also much closer to the books.

Was that from the 50's? I remember watching it with my brothers and being scared--that would have been the early 60's, I guess.
Netflix right now has a rather funny anime if you like them, Sakamoto Days. For anime fans, the voice of Sakamoto is the same guy who did the voice of Gintama.

scottro You're right. It was 1963.

The great thing about the original is that you never see the thing making the noise. In the remake, they did stupid, unnecessary things with CGI that ruins the mystery of it all.

Are the books good ?
Yes, books are very good.

TV series are doing their best to follow the books. Honestly I don't read much. To me it was to rediscover the joy of reading as your imagination kicks in. Some things had to be obviously omitted from series due to time.
I enjoyed watching the 2nd season eventhough I had read the books already.
