gnome doesn't work...

I read all of the Handbook ,kde work very well but i can't still work with gnome. It's dont work.
I see logs but dont know what I should do.

any idea?

FreeBSD release#?
KDE still installed? KDE release#?
Gnome release#? How was installed: packages, ports?
What exactly doesn't work?
What logs do you see?

And what actually is happening? For example, is it crashing? What do you see? Any error messages on the console?

in FreeBSD 8.0 and Gnome 2.28.
I reinstall FreeBSD and this time don't install KDE.
Then redo all works in the HandBook, now FreeBSD work well.

Congratulations!
However FreeBSD has nothing to do with Gnome, KDE etc. Those are just window managers or desktop environments at most, they are 3rd party software and not part of OS. So FreeBSD may run fine but Gnome/KDE was not configured. Just that.
I have both KDE and Gnome on my system. Runs fine the only incompatibility I noticed is xscreensaver but I'm sure it could be fixed too, I'm just lazy
