I removed the old GhostBSD EFI from the EFI folders manually, but still I reinstall FreeBSD 14.3, still it shows GhostBSD boot menu, and will try to boot from there. As if I didn't remove anything related to GhostBSD, how could this happen?
Isn't your EFI/boot/bootx64.efi in your ESP (assuming amd64)?
If you didn't re-configure efibootmgr to drop GhostBSD entry pointing to GhostBSD-specific directory in your ESP to be deleted and the entry is still configured as default, it would fail as you deleted the pointed boot code (am I mis-understanding here?), then, drop to UEFI default, EFI/boot/bootx64.efi in your ESP.
