Other GEOM RAID Background Verify

Is it possible to enable background consistency checks for a GEOM raid volume?

As far as I know, no. There are no consistency checks with RAID. Some RAID controllers are able to do some checks but those are features of the card, not RAID itself.

If you want something that can protect you from bit-rot for example you will need to use ZFS.
