GDM login theme

Hi. I'm trying to change the gdm theme so it can look a bit more decent.
Found this theme at gnome-look.org but I can't seem to figure out what to do next. There's an old post in these forums showing how to change it, but it's nine years old already and none of the suggested methods work.
I know there are scripts to extract and modify the default theme in Linux, but as far as FreeBSD goes, there's a whole lot of nada.

Is there any other way to install a gdm theme?

If I am not mistaken, the theme for GDM is now compiled into a binary that the login manager references. There are guides out there on how to do this but as I don't use Gnome or GDM, I am unable to help. Closest I could find is the Arch Linux wiki, which is usually the absolutely best available resource, at least on Linux: GDM theming
