Solved FreeTDS package missing libtdsodbc.so

I am trying to use a unixODBC + FreeTDS solution to connect to a Microsoft SQL Server database via ODBC. The documentation for unixODBC refers to a libtdsodbc.so driver that does not exist on my server. Is this file supposed to be included with FreeTDS? I currently have the freetds-0.95.65,1 package installed.

The UNIXODBC option is not enabled per default. So a package does not have it. You have to compile it in the databases/freetds port with this option enabled.
