Solved FreeSBIE pkgselect

I have a new question.
How to make FreeSBIE work with pkg?

Because

sudo make pkgselect

outputs msgbox with this source

Sorry. You don't have any package installed.
Please install at least packages.

As FreeSBIE was based on FreeBSD-6.2, (http://www.freesbie.org/share/2.0.1/manual/), would it even work with pkg(8)?

You wanna say that it's better not to use FreeSBIE, should it be NanoBSD instead ?

I doubt even a recent ports tree will work, let alone PKGNG. FreeBSD 6.2 went end-of-life in May 2008 (almost 6 years ago!).

But last FreeSBIE update were near November of 2011, as I can see in http://www.freshports.org/sysutils/freesbie/
Maybe it'll be alive soon?

As far as I know you can use the port to create your own FreeSBIE image. In theory you could use it on a recent 9.x or 10.0 but because development has stopped a while ago it may not work.

Could you please tell me, which way is better to create one-solution FreeBSD image. For example ftp-only, or dhcp-only liveusb. It need me as exercise in university.

In that case I'd try to build my own. It's not that difficult to do.

Also have a look at mfsBSD.

Thanks, but what do you say about NanoBSD, is that much harder than mfsBSD?
