Solved FreeBSD- Update stalls after I upgraded to 12.0

So I upgraded from 11.x to 12.0 and now when I do freebsd-update fetch, it lands with "end" like it has more to show me. But. Then all I get are tens of thousands of PAGES of tildes ~ And the process never completes and the only way out of it is to CTRL-Z suspend it then kill it off.

SO I can't update to security branch -pX releases..

Attached screen shots..

I feel pretty stupid, but, I can't find anything to really start to fix this.

I have pressed q millions of times and never reach the end. I have placed something to hold Q down for 2 days and never reached the end. I also used page down using nano to get full pages and after 2 days still no end in sight..

SOmething was wrong with my FreeBSD-update binary. I just went and got one off a identical system and it works fine now... Very weird.... So problem solved..

I was having the same issue, installed 12.0 in a VM a few days back and it did the same thing. Updating from 11.2-p9 => 12.0-RELEASE-p3 did not have any issues.
Use packages, no issues on updating packages.
Verified that typing "q" did work ..
Code:
No updates needed to update system to 12.0-RELEASE-p3.
