Solved freebsd-update not found

I am running XigmaNAS on a FreeBSD system which freebsd-version shows as 12.2-RELEASE-p7

However when I try to execute freebsd-update I get "not found".

As a newbie to FreeBSD I have searched the forum as well as the internet but I can't find any clue.

Is it possible that I have only got a sub-set of FreeBSD? This was installed using the XigmaNAS documentation.

You don't run XigmaNAS on FreeBSD. XigmaNAS is a highly customized derivative of FreeBSD.
