FreeBSD compatibility on Lenovo V15 G4 ABP (Ryzen 7 7730U) & Realtek Wi-Fi

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some information regarding FreeBSD compatibility with my laptop before making it my primary operating system.

My hardware specifications are listed below. Additionally, my laptop uses a Realtek Wi-Fi card. I need to make sure the wireless network adapter will work properly out of the box (or with available drivers) before I go ahead with a definitive installation on this machine.

(Note: The fastfetch output below doesn't show the exact Realtek model, but I can provide it if needed).

Please provide the exact Realtek chipset. Can't tell you if it'll work or not if we don't know what it is.

The only way to get a reasonable answer is to (temporarily) boot the machine from a FreeBSD install image (most common - on a usb stick). Then you can also run the

pciconf

command to get the exact info needed for the wireless chipset.
