It is not the same person working for both a startup and a military contractor. If they did they would probably behave differently in both roles.

But you are only in one role and the military contractor is downgraded to "normal" after a while.

Some time I do make a decision to help/not help based on politics so I am sympathetic but it would be better to move/have such non-technical discussion in the off-topic forum.
 
We also transfer a huge number of video files.
The files vary in size — from very large to very small ones.
It seems to me that your question lacks some details.
For example, what hardware are you using?

But to answer and share some of our experience — we use network interfaces aggregated via the LACP protocol.
Our servers have RAID arrays (RAID 10 or RAID 50), depending on the task.
We also use storage systems with flash drives, such as Dell Unity, IBM, etc.
Data transfer mainly happens over NFS.

As I understand it, your issue is related to network bandwidth, right?
Maybe you should try bonding your network interfaces.

I want to appoligize to dclau for my rogue opinion. I might have a military background but I am no baby killer.
There are just too many unfounded accusations in this post to not say something.

Regarding your morals statement on your deleted 'Watchtower' thread I feel I have strong morals.
I cannot disenfranchise every Russia citizen because of one dictator. I hate the situation your country is in.

Why some European countries are buying tainted oil is disturbing. Boycotting tainted oil is a low threshold.

OP needs to explain, we can't. Discussing the "current unpleasentness" would take up more space than we have and would best be done in a clearing around a fire with beer at hand. Not here. It's simply not that easy.
