Solved falkon web browser no sound

I find as decent web browser, good interface,speed,plays youtube in HD
but not sound...compile from ports and the same result

I'm running www/falkon from packages, it does play sound. Be aware that falkon will likely disappear soon, since upstream dropped FreeBSD support?

in the falkon console return this error

SNDCTL_DSP_SPEED: No error: 0

Since version 3.0, QupZilla is no longer developed and new version are released with Falkon name as a KDE project.

Sounds quite plausible as well, as last update was 2 yrs ago.
I am just looking around for a lightweight browser (no javascript needed) which supports at least the "read more" checkbox hack, so I got curious. (Dillo doesn't, sadly)

No, that's two years old. What I mean was pretty recent. We're going OT, let's try to get wolffnx 's issue sovled solc^Hved. It must be in the port's options?

I only have used Falkon with the base soundsystem, what if you run it without pulseaudio?

funy fact..there is a dependency or port called

torvalds-linux-v5.10-rc6_GH0.tar.gz

forget..when compile

qt5-webengine-5

returns

Uses Python 2.7 which is EOLed upstream.
It is scheduled to be removed on or after 2020-12-31.

NOW I got sound , compiling qt5-webengine with pulseaudio set to default and running pavucontrol
but I compile Python 2.7 ?

in the end..better like this, I use chromium only to access gmail and falkon to keep me safe and everyday browsing..problem solved

Falkon is too insecure so Google won't let you use its services with it. See View: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/htw6x7/falkon_and_google_services/

There is a workaround though:

If you sign up for Grammarly.com with your Google account, Google services will start working again in Falkon. Don't know why, but it works.
