Empathy (MSN) unable to connect

Hi, I just decided to try Empathy to log on my MSN account. I installed it on my:
Code:
FreeBSD dark 8.1-STABLE FreeBSD 8.1-STABLE #0: Sat Oct 30 17:46:16 EDT 2010 root@dark:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/DARK amd64
Using the latest ports of x11/gnome2 from cvs and pretty much only using defaults options. But when I try to login, I get a red rectangle that says: "Network error"
Now, I tried using aMSN to see if it would work and yes I was able to log in.

Does anyone have an idea of how to get to login on MSN using empathy?

Hello,

I'm experiencing the same behavior here (FreeBSD 8.1, GNOME installed from packages)

Regarding empathy versions, I'm using

empathy-2.30.2
py26-telepathy-butterfly-0.5.13

Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback darcsis, I'll take note of the port you mention.

However, I think that empathy should be fixed (if this is a bug and not something specific to me) and I thought that gnome+freebsd port mantainers would look here. I'll send a mail to gnome@freebsd

Port maintainers rarely look here. This is a user/community support forum. The developers are (for the most part) on their mailing lists.
