Solved Difference between installation image files

Hello

I am in the process installing FreeBSD 10.1 on my home PCs. I downloaded and installed with the following mini USB image file from download webpage:

FreeBSD-10.1-RELEASE-amd64-uefi-mini-memstick.img


Afterwards I realized there's another image file called
FreeBSD-10.1-RELEASE-amd64-mini-memstick.img or full image file

FreeBSD-10.1-RELEASE-amd64-memstick.img

Can someone tell me what's the difference between these two files?

The installation is for a HP desktop PC with Intel DuoCore and a SATA HD.

The *-uefi-* images are for booting with UEFI.

The *-mini-* images don't contain the distribution tarballs; they will be downloaded during the install, so you need a network connection for these.

I installed with UEFI image first but I was concerned that I used the wrong image file for installation.

Yesterday I reinstall with the FreeBSD-10.1-RELEASE-amd64-memstick.img

AFAIK, they appeared to have the same contents and both boots okay on my desktop HP PC.

The contents are the same, the difference is just that UEFI requires different bootcode.
