Credit where credit is due

With all due respect Crivens, we still have no description of this supposed Firefox problem. Perhaps that's not the point of OP's post, but what we actually should do with these complaint threads? They are extremely irritating to say the least.

Yes they are annoying. And I think it was about chrome, was it not?

My reading is that both issues contribute to "marginal browsing capability". And since debugging Chrome is out of scope of this forum, Firefox's issue is the only actionable one.

Why bother? Status quo: Chromium and Firefox ports both work very well on several machines here, and probably also on the machines of a lot of other users.

So, someone states it "doesn't work" for him. Now, assuming this is indeed the case, there are two options for that person: Either give detailed information (and possibly file a PR) to get this problem solved. Or just use some other OS that "works for him". If he decides for the latter, that's perfectly fine. Still assuming there *is* some issue we're not aware of, someone else will eventually run into it and decide it's worth analyzing :)

It needs to be mentioned that the chromium sync thing is a Google thing and Google offers no help whatsoever to FreeBSD and has never responded to requests for help. Any issues with chromium that involve Google is Google's fault.
Worse, Sync used to work in past.
