Does anyone of you have any experience with CNI (https://www.cni.dev/)? Recent conversations in the Enterprise Working Group about ways to improve network handling for bhyve and jails led my discovery of CNI in the context of docker, kubernetes, et al.
I'm wondering what's it like to work with, whether there's any lessons to consider also for FreeBSD on our journey with OCI, bhyve, jails etc.? What are your thoughts about using such a spec in FreeBSD?
I do like the thought of not reinventing the wheel when there's already something to build on - then again, I do want to know about the strengths and weaknesses of it as well. Would love to hear what you think!
