Solved Cannot boot after upgrade

Hello all,

I updated my FreeBSD 10.0-RELEASE-p12 to FreeBSD 10.1 using the following command: # freebsd-update -r 10.1-RELEASE upgrade. After rebooting a few times and running the command again as instructed, I am now unable to get the server to boot to FreeBSD. This is the error:

Mounting from zfs:zroot failed with error 2: unknown file system

I am also unable to log in in single user mode (same error message).

Can someone help me?

A long set of recovery commands (19 nov) were posted to the freebsd-questions list which may or may not help in this instance...
