ZFS can you export zfs pool on FreeBSD and import on Cachyos?

Just try it. I do it with mx-linux works fine.Don't do "zpool upgrade".

I do this between FreeBSD and Artix Linux, which is an Arch derivate just like CachyOS. No problems, if the creating zfs version is equal or lower than that running on the target system. For example, my FreeBSD 14-STABLE server is on zfs 2.2.8, my Artix desktop on 2.3.0. I make sure that the drives are formatted on FreeBSD and that I do not run "zpool upgrade" on Artix to avoid compatibility issues.

Note , Garuda linux (which i use) does not have zfs, so i switch to ext2 or ntfs

To do this the pool must be created with only features that are supported by both OSes.

The best way to be sure is to create, test on the other OS and then start over after noting which features the other OS complained about.
