Brightness on Freebsd

Good Day Everyone,

I was trying to adjust screen brightness stumbled across post on the forums,

I added sysctl.conf hw.acpi.video.lcd0.birghtness=100 thinking the 100 would make screen as bright as possible. Since doing that I can no longer boot in KDE5, goes straight to TTYV.

Is there a way to delete that entry or another way i must go about it?

I also think that a brightness setting has very little to do with X not starting properly. There's probably a different reason for that. In any case, it'll be good experience to know how to fix this type of issue on the console.

Why not use backlight incr (or decr) and bind them to keyboard shortcuts or start the command backlight 100 from a script at session logging ?
