I was pkg upgrading everything and it was like 750 packages/2GB to be upgraded, but I already had some packages downloaded.
Then suddendly, midway through the process, pkg complains it couldn't find some package.
Lo and behold, someone updated some hashes at the repo, and now pkg is redownloading everything because all the downloaded packages' hashes are no longer valid. It's the very same package versions!
Who is that criminal who updated the repo? Why is it able to screw a pkg upgrade halfway through the download? What's the solution to this???
