Solved Bad checksums

I have downloaded 4 different ISO images for release 10.1 for AMD64 from freeBSD.org today. All of them have bad checksums! To try to isolate the problem I downloaded OpenBSD 5.7 and a version of Ubuntu and checksums were OK. Are there any mirrors or torrents for fFreeBSD downloads?

Any ideas as to what is going on?

This one checks out fine for me:

ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/r...GES/10.1/FreeBSD-10.1-RELEASE-amd64-disc1.iso

Checksums:

ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/r...MAGES/10.1/CHECKSUM.SHA256-10.1-RELEASE-amd64

Code:
firewall ~ % fetch ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/amd64/amd64/ISO-IMAGES/10.1/FreeBSD-10.1-RELEASE-amd64-disc1.iso
FreeBSD-10.1-RELEASE-amd64-disc1.iso 100% of 653 MB 2309 kBps 04m50s
firewall ~ % sha256 FreeBSD-10.1-RELEASE-amd64-disc1.iso
SHA256 (FreeBSD-10.1-RELEASE-amd64-disc1.iso) = 0c3d64ce48c3ef761761d0fea07e1935e296f8c045c249118bc91a7faf053a6b
firewall ~ %

Are you behind some kind of restricting proxy?

I just tried:

FreeBSD-9.3-RELEASE-amd-dvd1.iso and I get the correct checksum:

SHA256 (FreeBSD-9.3-RELEASE-amd64-dvd1.iso) = 30c0baa7d51a4b3130108c862bbc9439f60a3a6362b13183c1ae0be959ae9a95

I am going to re-try getting 10.1 and will post result here.

Although I did not investigate it further, ftp/wget would give me bad checksums on *iso's. Straight binary downloads via ftp have always been valid.
