Backspace problems under FreeBSD

W520 and X61 have Backspace.

I guess these are US keyboards...
I also have both of these models but mine have this https://codepoints.net/U+232B?lang=en symbol which SirDice mentioned

It works fine with me when using spacemacs and that I am in insert mode.

I found FreeBSD on another disk which emacs installed and backspace works as expected on that, also on v30.2.

Not sure how to compare the two installations.
