I am trying to research in a little more detail the concept of Accept Filters.
Searching through the Internet and manual pages gives little insight into their workings, as far as I can understand anyway.
I could blindly enable these on my system and marvel at any speed boost, but I would like to understand a bit more the underlying principles. I know that they help reduce context switching in the kernel. From what I have read too you can write your own Accept Filter for other services other than HTTP & DNS; would that be correct?
I am also looking for guides\manuals\other information that would help me understand on the subject should anyone know of any suitable.
