Solved 300 Years: Huawei's Open Source Strategy – Interconnected blog

Interesting name. When you run into a "this content is blocked" page on the great firewall, you don't get censored but "harmonized". At least that is what I got told from locals.

I have a Huawei ADSL 4G. I HAVE to reboot it every night.
Recently I've discovered it has a scheduled restart option.
The problem solved. I don't have to reboot it every night.

I heard from iPhone to Android users about restarting every night (manual). They said it is for safety.

Interesting article. I personally would never own a Chinese device or use a project sourced in China, open source or not. I realize most electronics are made in that geographic area but i don’t buy China specific brands.

Non of their firmware updates has fixed the problem. It could be NAT table buffer, memory leak, bufferbloat in router, ... really I don't know.
