13.2 doesn't load KDE after gui login

Hi guys,

I installed KDE by desktop-installer, after it I did a reboot and if I login by root and write "startx" the system loads KDE, when I do the same by the normal user after "startx" the system loads x and not KDE!

I tried this way https://community.kde.org/FreeBSD/Setup so I did:

  • pkg install --quiet --yes kde5 plasma5-sddm-kcm sddm xorg
  • sysrc dbus_enable="YES" && service dbus start
  • sysrc sddm_enable="YES" && service sddm start

After the above command I did a reboot and now the system automatically load KDE but when I try to insert the password of the root user or of the normal user the system freeze and this is what happen https://ibb.co/9H4DLYg and I should open a terminal to reboot the system because I can't go further!

I never had a working KDE on FreeBSD :'‑(

when logging in, avoid the Plasma (Wayland) … default that's presented by sddm – for Plasma, Wayland is not yet reliable.

In the bottom left corner select "Desktop Session: Plasma(X11)" then enter your username and password.
