I was wondering if anybody has Kodi working with an IR remote and LIRC under FreeBSD 11.0-STABLE.
It was actually quite easy to setup LIRC and the LIRC tools show that the remote is recognized and key presses are interpreted correctly on the OS side. Kodi 16.10 has been build from ports with...
I'm attempting to install WebCamD and Lirc in a jail on FreeBSD 8.3. My goal is to be able to send WOL packets to computers when I press a button on my remote control. I am trying this out on a FreeBSD 8.3 virtual machine, and also a pfSense 2.1 virtual machine. Ultimately I intend to have...

I finished the build of my NAS+XBMC box with zfs on FreeBSD 9.0. Everything works great, but I still need to do a couple of final touches. :) I need a keyboard and IR receiver for this thing. For keyboard I'm thinking about Logitech K400. It has touchpad which can replace mouse... Does anyone...
I have been trying to get this RF Remote working but thinking I may be missing something. Before I beat my head against the wall has anyone actually been able to use the remote to do something? I have tried to set up KDE remotes and XBMC neither appear to do anything, so not sure if I am missing...
After discovering that webcamd has progressed beyond its name to including many/most linux USB devices I was surprised to find out how relatively easy it was to get my USB transceivers working and setup Lirc for a slick MCE remote. The transceiver and software is working!

I've installed lirc using debug option in make config, and confirmed that the file streamzap.c is included after building:
.deps Makefile.am lirc_streamzap.c

So, the device is not working as IR device...
