I feel I am very close but I also have to admit that after a few trials I not sure I know what I am doing. I am following the thread here to sort out the issue with my headphones output. When I really did not know anything about pins I opened up another thread a few weeks back.
Before starting this thread, I read a lot of other threads but most are for desktops.
Sounds works from speakers but no from headphones. I have not played with "hints" and such, I will appreciate any help.

Mouse pad works! it has mouse but synaptic touch pad is not working as scrolling or other functions or it may not be detected !
Sound Works through Speakers but Headphones are unable to connect !

The default configuration is not working to mute the line-out when I plug the headphone. I tried putting this in /boot/device.hints but without success:

I installed FreeBSD 11 on a Dell Latiutde laptop. Sound plays well from the speaker. But when plugging in headphones, sound still plays from the speaker and no sound from the headphones.
