    stty erase ^? doesn't work

stty doesn't work. Either bind. If I try to set something, the only thing I succeed in is corrupting backspace.

ssh requires lots of time for login

I've found an error in FreeBSD hosts file; after correcting it, it just tooks 10-20 seconds more than the Linux counterpart on the same server, which response is pratically immediate, why? I've modified client hosts, this is how they looks now: Linux client /etc/hosts 127.0.0.1...

    stty erase ^? doesn't work

I'm trying to use stty erase "^?" to change the behavior of the delete key. Both Backspace and Del are working as backspace, and I find this quite annoying. But, after executing stty as written above, I just get a backspace command that prints "^H" instead that "^h", and a del key that acts...

ssh requires lots of time for login

if I add something in hosts like 192.168.1.118 FreeBSD I can ping 192.168.1.118 using ping FreeBSD. But the problem is not that I can't connect, it's the extreme slowness of the sshd daemon when loading and when a connection is going to be established.

Two computer can ping together well, without any slowdown. I can login to FreeBSD, but I have to wait much, much longer than Linux. And this is strange.

    Can't scan AP with ral0 (ralink RT2561)

After changing my router channel from 13 to 10, it started to list my ssid. I tried to authenticate and use wireless successfully (as I've already done on OpenBSD). But, when I try to move my router in another room, quite far from BSD computer, it starts to lose signal completely. Any...

    Can't scan AP with ral0 (ralink RT2561)

I've been trying in configuring FreeBSD 8-release as in handbook, but after creating wlan0, when I try to scan APs with ifconfig wlan0 up scan it just stalls without doing anything. Dmesg doesn't report any useful information. What can I do? Maybe i've forgotten loading a module?
