HP 840 G6 with wifi AX201 and IRIS XE graphic

Hi all.
Are there chances to get to HP with the AX201 and IRIS XE graphics running freebsd for my Family beside Windows. Or can someone be so friendly point me to som info about this?
Thanks in advance, Anton

fwget asks for gpu-firmware-intel-kmod-tigerlake and wifi-firmware-iwlwifi-kmod-22000

but pkg install them means most recent of these are installed
its unclear for me how to use the libs, as ther is no i915kms

could help myself with 'pkg install drm-latest-kmod..' and graphic works
so only AX201 wlan is open for me, could use a usb-ethernet converter but not useful here

used usb-to-ethernet, nice box from NOVOO with aditional usb, memcard etc interfaces
USB dock? Good fallback. At least that gets you a working network, as you have a bit of a chicken and egg problem, you need network to install the wifi firmware, and you need the wifi firmware to get its network working.

Thank you, Erichans. Yes i could install the wifi-firmware it and it works now

if someone is interested in the last cracy problem, here ist is:
while ue0 with dhclient works to our raspi firewall (freebsd) with dhcpd, where every local MAC is put in and also wlan0 MAC -- but that one only is not working.
must be firewall....

tcpdump on the firewall on the wlan0 mac shows dhcp requests, but no answer, and i can not see or find any conf problem in the firewall dhcpd.conf or ipfw rc.firewall settings or hosts or pdnsd.conf.
which brings me to the question: are there suggestions to user other progs than dhcpd

Thanks, Anton

A bit confused, where are you running tcpdump(1) on? The Pi firewall or the laptop? If it's the laptop you should still see a response packet, even if the local firewall would have blocked it. A firewall won't stop the packet from arriving on the interface, only ignore it further down the network stack.

there is no return packet on the PI firewall. In case there is one, should you not see it on both ? and i can see no return packet on both, firewall and notebook wlan0, whihc means i have a firewall problem...
thanks,Anton

exactly this, on both notebook tcpdump and firewall tcpdump.
does it not look like a incredible silly so hard to find definition error?
again ue0 on notebook works

Did you have MAC addresses reserved in your dhcpd.conf? Maybe you made a typo in the MAC address the first time? On my network desktops, laptops, phones, media players, etc. all get a random address from the pool, never reserve anything. Servers on the other hand never use DHCP and always have static IP addresses configured.

Yes. dedicated ips to a Mac and the corresponding ipfw. a lot of years ago i and my wife decided not to allow every system to communicate outside. main reason has been the psychological praxis of my wife. just trying to prevent data of young clients to go outside. probably we will never know if this was or will be succesfull. but was interesting work with a lot to learn beside my previous job. but i am retired thince 13 years and it becomes more and more affordable. not shure if i can keep this running the same way the next years and what could make it easieto maintain.
greetings and sorry for my english, Anton
