Or even (*shudder*) a bookstore. I first learned of FreeBSD (and Linux) by buying books at an office supply store.

I bought these at that well known bookstore in Silicon Valley when they were new. Don't recall the bookstore's name.

Very cool that you got them back in 1992 in SF. I was thinking of buying Designing the UNIX Operating System book at some point on Amazon. I'd like all of them if the price is right, though. Was the price right for you when you bought them?

Learned of FreeBSD from FreeNAS 8 (now TrueNAS). Migrating fully to FreeBSD now that TrueNAS has migrated to Linux.

I like books. This pic has made me realize that I don't interact with many these days. I like turning pages, and the smell.

Was the price right for you when you bought them?

The sticker on two of them was $23 so in today's dollars that would be $3000 or so. I might be wrong.
