On Waterfox didn't work for me, neither with nor without javascript. (also have ublock orig and privacy badger). On librewolf which has a few things I don't have on Waterfox I got secure site not available do you want to connect to insecure site, and if I chose to do so, went without https, only http. Lynx works, w3m doesn't. With lynx, I was asked to accept cookies, chose never and it still loaded.
MG, they say all over the place don't take their statistics seriously, so I don't see any reason to be annoyed by it. I don't know if they say or have said it on the site, but as I've mentioned before, I did see on some forum, someone suggesting do something (I forget what) to make some distribution seem more popular. I don't don't remember what distribution, shucks it might have even been PCBSD, but regardless, all followup posts said DON'T DO THAT! whether for moral reasons or because they realized it would probably be found out and the distribution severely discredited, or maybe both. I don't know what you mean with a click banner either, as mentioned above I have ublock orig and yeah, there are cookies which most sites have now, and as I said, with Lynx I chose to accept none and reached the site. But, whatever, you say you don't use the site, so it shouldn't matter either way. For me, I like the rankings, but I don't take them too seriously--it does, however, show me what distribution might be getting a lot of attention, and if said distro seems interesting, I might throw it on a bhyve VM. But, we're all different.
penguinslayer I don't have dillo on anything, so didn't check with that. Ah, now I can reach it with Waterfox, but both Waterfox and Waterfox with private window are only showing a directory listing, Index of / and a list of pages below it. Maybe they're doing some work on the page.
And, as I was writing this, refreshed the page and it's back.
