On a note, due to bots now Freshport's search requires to login:

The recently imposed "must be logged in" restriction is a response to increased bot traffic on the site. This affects search, commits, and vuxml pages.

That's been in place for quite some time. Whenever Freshports got hammered, logged in accounts get priority over "anonymous" requests.

Earlier report (by me): PR 284761.
This was fixed at the moment, but resurrected soon.
And following brief discussion with one of the admins on Matrix let me know that the root cause was rapidly increasong (worse recently!) AI crawler workloads and one of the defensive work partially malfunctioned on at least specific region at the moment.

Just to cover this particular base: this sub-forum really only handles feedback about the functionality of the forums. They are hosted apart from other FreeBSD services like BugZilla.
