Booting from UEFI—Help needed!

Shall FreeBSD be installed with ACHI or Intel?
Either worked fine for me on 8th-gen and FreeBSD, and I could swap on-the-fly from BIOS no reinstall (kind-of impressive; I couldn't figure out VMD on any Linux distro :p)

I'd use AHCI (afaik no RST benefits off-Windows); RST booted slightly faster on Windows though but had random BSoDs (not sure what RST/Intel's driver could be doing to cause that, but AHCI seems flawless everywhere)
When I installed from ACHI it keeps booting in UEFI
AHCI/RAID doesn't matter with UEFI vs Legacy/CSM (you can do AHCI with UEFI boot)
It doesn’t find the installation in any boot option :)
When I downgraded my laptop's BIOS some OSs stopped adding UEFI boot entries (FreeBSD added it fine though); a manual add in BIOS should fix that (Acer/InsydeH2O iirc had to enable SecureBoot, trust the file, then re-disable vs having a plain UEFI boot path add)
Whats a good size on a partition? ’N’ mountpoint
Not sure what that is, but I did Auto ZFS or UFS and kept whatever sizes it presented by default :p (I keep swap 2G default no problem; recent discussion)
