Looking for owners of crooked website.

He is scam baiting youtuber, not a scam refund service or hacker for hire. He is constantly getting spammed by people that got scammed. Thats not how this works.
I never said he was some refund services, and he has helped recover peoples money by actualy finding the location of the scammers, can't do shit until you have that little piece of information.

he person that introduced me to them went to a conference of their's three years ago in Florida. That person lives in LA. One of the addresses they claim to have is in Fremantle, California, so I suspect it is an American outfit.

What I'm looking for most is some government statement saying that an Investment company charging an IRS Tax fee on an investment is illegal.

This company states it is legal and everyone has to pay it.

1. Should be very easy to find them if they held a conference in Florida 3 years ago. Get whatever information you can from your friend about that event.

2. No that's not legal in the United States its a common finance scam.
  • Show fake profits.
  • Say you must pay an “IRS tax,” “clearance fee,” or “withdrawal tax” before you can access your money.
  • Pressure victims to pay quickly.

The op has 3-10 years if the scammer was an American citizen and they are operating out of the United States, and heads up your comment is throwing serious red flags for me.
And thats one huge IF. And yeah, im the one who scammed him, and ill do it again. Im just trying to cover my scammer buddies here.

If you have time to waste, go for it. But the reality is, you are never going to get your money back or find who scammed you. I just hope you learned your lesson.
Well I have learned my lesson. I was completely ignorant about Crypto, I just trusted (wrongly) someone who knew their way around.

I'm pretty resigned to not seeing my money again, but I ought to be able to get the site shut down if it is acting illegally.

I'm still looking for a definitive statement saying that demanding an IRS Tax fee is illegal.

I'm sure it is, but if I tell them that, they will say it isn't and that all their customers were happy to pay it.

It's illegal. Your not going to find anything that says its legal. Contact law enforcement and ask them. They will tell you 100% illegal and likely want to take a police report.

Or you could contact the us irs and ask them, do it via email. They will tell you.
I have spent ages looking for an email address but have yet to find an address where I can send an email.

I thought this would be useful

but it turns out to be a labyrinth of questions that mean nothing to me. I have no idea what a form 14242 or 211 is.

If someone claims they are collecting for the IRS, that can be reported to:

Anyone who uses the Internet gives up their privacy.
Thats not true.
Well I have learned my lesson. I was completely ignorant about Crypto, I just trusted (wrongly) someone who knew their way around.
I find it kind of funny, and im not trying to be mean here. I really dont. Its just, FreeBSD forums should be for technically savvy people. And yet, here we are discussing typical internet scams that usually happen to absolute noobs. Makes you wonder.

Waste of time. They will just use small portion of money they stole from you to clone and host another website so they can continue their "business". For them, that site you are aiming to shutdown is acceptable casualty. Wrap your head around that. You are literally wasting your time on nothing. And worst of all, you are wasting your time while being totally aware you wont get you money back.
With 8.98M subscribers 893 videos I would have no idea as to how to get started.
As i said before, dont bother.
I was looking for something like a forum where I could interact with people.
He is getting enough spam as it is. The last thing he needs is the forum where trillion of scammed victims will bitch and cry how they are being scammed and cry for help.
You’re putting a lot of effort into trying to convince Balanga to give up.
Thats what we do saar.
If you care enough to comment, you could be using that energy to help instead.
He got scammed. Deal with it and move on. Stop spewing nonsense and giving someone false hope. Its a waste of time. The best he could get is to get that site shutdown. And even thats questionable. Some of you really need reality check.

It's not though. Our members are from all walks of life.
I can see that now. This is the 2nd time on this forum i see people complain about getting scammed. And im new to these forums.
Common misconception. Intelligent people fall for scams all the time. Also, look up "victim blaming" and what it means.
If you are getting scammed, you are not very intelligent. Simple as that. Pursuing this any further is more risky than just accept you are being scammed and move on.

Don’t tell me what to do 😉 The OP isn’t wasting their time there’s plenty they can do. The fact that you can’t see that says more about your perspective than theirs.

Your attitude comes across as unnecessarily harsh and dismissive. Instead of offering help, you seem more interested in criticizing someone who’s already dealing with a difficult situation. That’s not constructive, and it’s not helpful.

I genuinely hope you choose to approach people with more compassion in the future. I’ll be praying for you.

You are not helping him at all. Neither one of you. In fact, you are setting him up to lose even more money with the lawyers. No one can get his money back. And your "encouragement" and "words of support" are useless. If you really want to help him, go start a fundraiser. Lets all chip in some $ and ACTUALLY help him. Ill be the first to donate.

I dont live in fantasy world with sunshine and rainbows. World is cruel and evil. Wake up and accept it.

I agree with this 100%. Unlike you, I will not sugarcoat the cruel reality of his situation.

I can send him some money if you start a fundraiser campaign. I put my money where my mouth is.

Dont waste your time.

The credit card companies are quite often very good about that. I received a gift card, and at some point, checked the balance and it seemed like 50 or 60 bucks had been spent and I didn't remember it. I wasn't positive it wasn't me, but I didn't remember it---wrote Mastercard, and they, without questioning (although if they showed proper receipts it would have immediately answered whether it was more or not) and they sent me a new gift card, full value.

My wife uses Amex for some things and they notified here about an unsual charge. Turned out it was fraud for a few thousand dollars, Amex made good on it and immediately sent a new card. Without knowing the circumstances of the OP's issue, I can't say anything, but often, even banks are helpful. I once sent a rent check, apparently stolen out of a mailbox and the payee changed to a different person, and Apple Bank made good on it. (That is stolen out of a NYC mailbox, not the landlord's mailbox). The woman at the bank told me that criminals had been known to steal entire mailboxes and change any check payees in there to something else.
